What We Know about the Upcoming 2024 Jeep® Recon

The 2024 Jeep® Recon EV hasn’t arrived in dealerships yet, but it’s already making waves all the same. As the Jeep brand’s first all-electric SUV, it’s poised to shake up the electric vehicle market even more than the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe already have. Other electric SUVs are available now, but this will be the first to offer the legendary capability that the Jeep badge signifies.

Some of this new Jeep SUV’s specifications are still under wraps, but we do know some juicy details. In common with the Jeep Wrangler, the Jeep Recon has a removable rooftop and doors, BF Goodrich T/A tires, and the iconic seven-slot grille (the latter has some nifty illumination).

That’s not all. This will be the first EV to wear the Trail Rated® designation, the first with the Selec-Terrain® traction management system, and the first with a locking differential for maximum traction.

As you’d expect, there are also tow hooks and extensive underbody protection. The kinds of technology you’d expect from an advanced EV will also be available, from smartphone mirroring to power management and a host of other great amenities.

Pre-Order and Finance the 2024 Jeep Recon

Car companies are finally learning that off-roaders want electric vehicles, too, and the Jeep Recon EV is one of the most powerful answers to that desire. While Jeep has said that the Jeep Recon EV is inspired by the Jeep Wrangler, this is a beast of its own that’s entirely capable of taking you anywhere your wanderlust may lead you.
