Each season brings new challenges as a car owner. Extreme temperature swings, like the transition from winter to summer, demand a new set of maintenance tasks. Performing RAM service during summer can create a comfortable and safe driving experience.
Confirm that when you turn on your air conditioner, it blows cold air into your car. Our technicians can add refrigerant to lower the AC unit’s temperature if the air feels warm. Alternatively, if no air comes out, we can replace your cabin air filter so air can flow freely. If the problem persists, we’ll check whether the fan’s motor may be broken and see if any other parts need cleaning, lubrication, or adjustment.
It doesn’t take snow and ice to damage tires. Weak points expose your tires to a blowout. Have your tires rotated with each oil change, and replace them if they’ve elapsed too many miles or years (this includes your spare).
Temperature changes also affect your tires’ internal air pressure. Check your car’s manual to find the optimal PSI range, and inflate or deflate them accordingly. Perform these measures on your spare tire as well, so it can function appropriately if needed.
Your windshield wipers clear debris from your windshield so you can view the road ahead unimpeded, but time and use degrade them. Change your windshield wiper blades so they can remove material effectively.
Similarly, if your headlights’ beams appear weak or cloudy from dirt or pollen, clean them to restore their brightness. If this does not fix the issue, replace the bulbs with new ones.
